Your tyres need changing for any one of the reasons mentioned below:
- If you tyre depth is less than 1.6mm across the central ¾ of the circumference of the whole tyre. Anything less than this could cost you penalty points on your licence and a fine of up to £2,500.00 per tyre.
- If your tyre has any cuts, cracks and bulges or any other evidence of damage from violent impact or kerbing. Damaged tyres may be illegal and can be dangerous.
- If you have been driving on a flat tyre.
